I have bought 4 tuners on ebay and all of them worked perfectly. I have had one or two bad experiences with bad sellers on ebay but the amount I have saved far outweighs what I’ve lost. We do this FOR A LIVING, it's how we support our families, please don't compare us to the many ebay sellers who are just trying to move used parts or make a quick buck! Whether it's me, DP-Tuner, etc. There is NO WAY I can justify the amount of time I spend with customers (whether it's pre-sales product questions, modification advice or post-sale technical support) if I'm expected to do it at EBay prices. Off the topic of the specific tuners and chips, but on the topic of "why is x so much more than what I saw on ebay?".ĮBay is EBay, much of what is out there is cheap for a reason. I’m hoping that when we get the bugs out my new TW tunes along with my new injectors and turbo should really do good. I personally really liked my old TS eBay chip, it had a 140+HP setting and would hit 30 psi boost easily with stock injectors and stock turbo.
I bet if you price the whole package from both TW and DP you’ll come up with a similar price with DP being slightly higher. Oh, and the TS chips on ebay are NOT and in NO WAY the same as the TW custom tuned TS chips. I really hope we figure it out soon but my point is he stands behind his work and I’d buy from him again. As soon as I get in touch with him again to tell him it still aint running right I’m sure he will try it again. So far he has burned my chip 3 times and the last time he replaced it with one of his chips at no extra charge. I have talked with him on the phone several times and he was nothing but helpful and insightful. For some reason my truck and mods combo was not happy with the TW tunes. I haven’t worked with DP yet but I had Tony reburn my old off the shelf TS chip.
